Welcome!

Less than two months ago, I was diagnosed with clinical depression. Funnily enough, I don’t see this as a negative; I feel as if a massive weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I now understand why I felt like I had a dark cloud following me around everywhere that I went and why I had lost interest in a lot of the passions that I once pursued: photography, music, and writing.

While I am still in my treatment’s early stage, I have already seen the benefits of taking medication and communicating with my patient partner (who has had to put up with my condition’s symptoms for more than seven years!). I am entering my degree’s final semester with a job in my field, some life goals for the next few years, and rekindled interest in my aforementioned passions.

So what should you expect to see on this website?

This slice of the internet serves as a digital snapshot of who I am. Expect to read more musings like this on my Blog, to learn a bit more about my professional and educational background on my About page, and to discover some of my photographic work within the Photo gallery. I’ve also provided some links to some of my social media profiles, so feel free to connect with me or follow me.

I will also post excerpts of and links to my writing on Doublejump, a videogame publication that I co-founded in 2012, as well various equipment reviews and mini photoessays. I’ve always wanted to post the latter content!

I’m entering a renewed chapter in my life, and I’d love for you all to follow me as I navigate the various challenges that lay before me. Whether you’re reading every blog post or just taking a quick glance at some of my photography, you’re all welcome here.
